Senate Commerce Hrg on Cmrcl Space Partnerships, June 2017, DC

UPDATE, JUNE 20:  The committee announced this afternoon that the hearing has been postponed until after the July 4 recess.  No explanation was offered.

ORIGINAL ENTRY:  The Space, Science, and Competitiveness Subcommittee of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will hold the third in a series of hearings on commercial space on June 21, 2017 at 2:30 pm ET in 253 Russell Senate Office Building.  The topic is "Reopening the American Frontier: Promoting Partnerships Between Commercial Space and the U.S. Government to Advance Exploration and Settlement."  Times, dates and witnesses for congressional hearings are subject to change; check the committee's website for up to date information. 

The hearing will be webcast on the committee's website.   Scheduled witnesses are:
  • Bob Cabana, Director, NASA Kennedy Space Center
  • Tim Ellis, Co-Founder and CEO, Relativity
  • Moriba Jah, Associate Professor, Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, Cockell School of Engineering, University of Texas at Austin

  • Gwynne Shotwell, President and COO, SpaceX
