House E&C Sbcmte Hrg on Satellite Video 101, 10:30 am ET, 2322 Rayburn

The House Energy and Commerce (E&C) Committee's Communications and Technology Subcommittee will hold a hearing on February 13, 2013 at 10:30 am ET in 2322 Rayburn House Office Building on "Satellite Video 101."  The hearing will focus on the expiring Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act of 2010 (STELA).   STELA (Title V of P.L. 111-175) is the most recent of a series of laws since 1988 that deal with technical and copyright issues associated with providing television signals to consumers via satellite.  STELA expires in 2014 and Congress is expected to hold a number of hearings on its reauthorization between now and then.  This is the first.

Witnesses for the hearing had not been announced as of February 7.   Times, dates and witnesses for congressional hearings are subject to change.  Check the committee's website for up to date information.
