2012 ESA Ministerial Council, Naples, Italy

The European Space Agency's (ESA's) Council of Ministers will meet November 20-21, 2012 in Naples, Italy.   The Council of Ministers is the highest governance body of the agency.  It meets every 3-4 years, bringing together the relevant government ministers from each of ESA's 20 member countries.  The 2012 meeting is expected to result in decisions that will shape the European space program for many years to come.  ESA's members are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Canada takes part in some projects under a Cooperation agreement. Poland exchanged Accession Agreements with ESA in September 2012 to become the 20th Member State.
